Frequently Asked QuestionsDoes it hurt? No. The type of Reflexology Anne has been taught leaves the client feeling relaxed, calm and refreshed. However, some people may find they have a few sensitive reflexes which cause a bit of discomfort for the few moments they are being treated. This discomfort will usually be brief. Treatments are described by clients as being very relaxing with around 50% of people falling asleep during their treatment.
How many treatments will I need?Initially clients generally find six to eight ideally weekly treatments are about the number they feel they need. However each person is individual in their reactions so the number of treatments will vary. One
treatment on its own can be very beneficial, to aid relaxation, promote well- being and improve mood. Many clients use reflexology to maintain that feeling of well- being and come once a month for a treatment, for some “me” time because they find the treatments enjoyable, beneficial and relaxing. Why should I choose reflexology?
For what age is reflexology suitable?Any age can be treated from a young baby to a very senior citizen. There is no age limit. For babies and children the length of the treatment session is much shorter. Equally for anyone seriously ill* and with medical consent, a very gentle form of reflexology can be given which clients have found has been beneficial. However as Anne has undertaken the CPD accredited Suzanne Enzer’s Maternity Reflexology course she is trained to treat the newborn baby, with the permission of parents, and Consultant if the baby is under medical care.
*People with serious health issues should first consult their GP. Are there any conditions that reflexology is not suitable for?Clients are treated holistically and any serious problem you have should always be discussed with Anne during the initial consultation. However if you are concerned the problem you have may not be suitable for treatment with reflexology please phone or email Anne to confirm suitability before making the first appointment.
Reflexology should not be used as an alternative to seeking medical advice. |
